Kindergarten is a year of growing socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually. I am looking forward to an exciting school year teaching kindergarten at Living Water Christian School.

The Scripture that the Lord has given me for this year is Proverbs 17:6 which reads, “Children’s children are a crown to the aged, and parents are the pride of their children.” I take pride in teaching your children. My mission is not only to educate your children but to spread the biblical message of God’s grace through Christ.

This year there will be plenty of fun things to do, but what we are mostly focused on is learning. Your kindergartner will be learning phonics, cursive handwriting (upper and lower case), mathematics, social studies, and science. It seems like a lot, but you will be surprised at the level in which your kindergartner will excel. Towards the end of the year your kindergartener will be able to read you bed time stories; recite poetry, and so much more. Your kindergartner will achieve much this year in terms of academic growth, greater self-confidence, and improved social skills.

Throughout the year I will send home monthly newsletters and notes. I will also send home papers for you to sign and return (only from August-December). The papers that are being sent home are for you to review and to help you keep up with your child’s progress.

Lastly, I would like to thank you for the opportunity to teach your children for the 2011-2012 school year. I am looking forward to a fun and exciting year.
