Our curriculum is very fun, yet challenging. You will be amazed at your child’s progress throughout the year.

As usual, our class will be diving straight into our normal beginner skills with a greater emphasis on developing cursive writing skills and phonics. Our phonics program consists of recognition of vowels and consonants and how these letters sound. Advancing deeper into the program, your child will learn special blend sounds such as “th” and “ph.” With these skills, your child will be able to blend them together to form words. By December, they should be able to read bedtime stories to you!

We have a great field trip planned for this year. Mike’s Farm in the fall is always a favorite with the children. We go pumpkin picking, cider sipping, and we will even go on a hay ride. Yee haw!
